On May 13, NPRC student Sherrie Falck (St. Marys) was awarded the McGrady Family Scholarship by the Elk County Community Foundation. Sherrie is working towards her associate degree in Social Sciences. She began taking classes at NPRC while the College was still partnered with Gannon University.
“The school has given me opportunities that I never would have had on my own,” Falck shares. “The instructors and Student Success Specialists really care about their students being able to succeed. This scholarship is giving me the opportunity to continue my education and helping me stay on track to graduate.”
Sherrie will be completing her degree in the Spring of 2022.
This is the second year that the McGrady Family Scholarship Fund is being offered. This fund is dedicated to improving health, welfare, and educational opportunities for families living in Elk County, Cameron County, and the greater Pittsburgh Area. To qualify for this scholarship, students must be a resident from Elk or Cameron Counties taking classes through the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College and play an active role in the school or community. This scholarship is for a student who will be a degree seeking student that is taking classes at a delivery site in Elk County, Cameron County, or Kane.
