NPRC Announces the Hire of a Fifth Full-time Faculty Member

Northern Pennsylvania Regional College (NPRC) is excited to announce the addition of a new full-time faculty member to the academic team. Dr. Wallace Taylor, Instructor of Business, joins NPRC from Atlanta, GA. He will lead the Associate of Science in Business Administration program, which is one of the six associate degree programs currently offered by NPRC.

Dr. Taylor was born in British Guyana, Northeastern South America, raised in St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands, and educated in Georgia, London, and Berlin. He graduated from Georgia State University with a BSc in Kinesiology and Health. He also has earned a Master’s of Business (MBA) from Troy State University, a Master’s of Internet Technology (MIT) from The University of Georgia, and Doctorate in Business (DBA) from Georgia State University. His doctoral dissertation examined interorganizational learning between his privately owned companies and governmental organizations across several counties in GA.

Being both a scholar and practitioner, Dr. Taylor has published articles in the areas of Immigrant (Korean) Entrepreneurship, Interorganizational Learning, Engaged Participant Observation, and Pragmatic Rigor delineating principles and criteria for conducting and evaluating Practitioner Scholarship. His academic work has been featured in Paris, France; Atlanta, GA; and Philadelphia, PA, through the Center of Engaged Business Research (CEBR) at Robinson’s College of Business (Georgia State University).

As a strong proponent of interculturalism, Dr. Taylor is a Chairman Member of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, a corporate member of Atlanta Kiwanis Club, and a member of The Kettering Executive Network and Club Corp Executive Business Club (Buckhead Club, Atlanta, GA). Having a long history of entrepreneurship, Dr. Taylor is the former owner Sigma 9 Technologies and the current owner of Taylor Holdings International. He is also the Founder of Taylor Foundation for the Arts and Sciences with working projects in the United States, Guyana, and Thailand. He currently resides in Erie.

Fall 2021 will be his first term teaching with NPRC and he will work primarily out of the new Education and Training Center located on W. Ridge Road in Erie.
