Support NPRC Students Through Crawford Gives 2025

Crawford Gives NPRC

NPRC is excited to be one of many non-profit organizations accepting donations and gifts through Crawford Gives in 2025. Crawford Gives will take place over a 96-hour period from Tuesday, August 12 through Friday, August 15. This event is designed to help the Crawford County community unite in supporting local, non-profit organizations that meet various needs of the county. For NPRC, this is an opportunity to help provide affordable and accessible education to Crawford County residents.

In our 10-county service region where the average household salary is around $50,000* per year, affording nearly $25,000* per year in-state college tuition is most often unfeasible. To help students change their life and brighten their future right where they are, our institution was created. Northern Pennsylvania Regional College’s focus remains on keeping costs low for students, while many of our region’s learners may find it difficult to finance a college education.

Through events like Crawford Gives, community members can aid a recent high school graduate trying to better their life, a working parent trying to provide a brighter future for their family, or any individual looking to increase their skill set in their current role. Regardless of a student’s background or their current life situation, NPRC is here to support them. NPRC is more than a college. It is a second chance, a necessity, and an opportunity where learning and growth never stops. We hope many will consider doing their part to assist in achieving our mission.

The funds raised through Crawford Gives will be used to help make course textbooks and materials, STEM materials, early childhood education materials, medical program materials, and technology items accessible for NPRC’s student body.

During this event, businesses and individuals will be able to donate to local non-profits using cash, checks, or credit cards. Check Contribution Forms must accompany cash and check donations and cannot be received later than Friday, August 15 to contribute toward a final total. Cash and check donation types are accepted prior to the event in-person or through the mail. These contributions can be dropped off at 415 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335 or mailed to PO BOX 933, Meadville, PA 16335. Checks can be made payable to the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation. Call Christian Maher, Executive Director of the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation, at 814-499-1852 or email executive@crawfordheritage.org for additional questions or concerns.

The portal to donate using a credit card will open at midnight on Tuesday, August 12. NPRC will provide this link on our various social media accounts and website once it opens. To donate by credit card, individuals will have the 96-hour window to donate any dollar amount they choose to each participating non-profit.

NPRC has offered academic and workforce development courses at various locations in Crawford County over the last eight years, including the Education and Training Hub at the University of Pittsburgh-Titusville, Parkside Commons in Meadville, Saegertown Junior/Senior High School, the Crawford County Career and Technical Center and to students online.

President of NPRC Susie Snelick stated, “Donations to NPRC during Crawford Gives not only make a difference to students, but also families, employers, and the community they work and live. Education and training leads to sustaining careers, but everyone doesn't have the resources to take a large initial investment into higher education. Any assistance our NPRC community champions can provide will give someone an opportunity to take a step to improve their life. This is a cause that you can feel good about supporting locally and know that the impact will be felt by others in your community. We hope all that are able will consider a donation and will share with others this opportunity to support NPRC’s learners.”
