The Viewpoint short-form documentary series hosted by Dennis Quaid has selected Northern Pennsylvania Regional College for an exclusive opportunity to be featured on national public television. The upcoming season of the series, titled ‘Leaders in the Future of Community College Education,’ will feature the impact community colleges make in the United States.
The feature will include interviews with NPRC President, Susan Snelick; NPRC Board of Trustees Secretary and local manufacturing company President/CEO, Hank LeMeur Jr.; and NPRC’s students. The work is educational and informational to share with the country all about the difference NPRC is making in rural higher education in our region and beyond. Production will take place throughout the summer and the work will be showcased to a VIP audience during a special event taking place this fall.
NPRC President Susie Snelick shared, “I’m absolutely thrilled that NPRC was chosen from a pool of ten potential higher education institutions from across the country to be featured on the Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid in their upcoming feature, ‘Leaders in the Future of Community College Education’. We have something special here at NPRC that is receiving national recognition. I couldn’t be prouder of our team. When you support a community of caring, support, and creativity, amazing things ensue. Our students are our priority, and our dedicated faculty and staff encourage their learning each day. We are excited to be showcased and hope that word continues to travel about the benefits that NPRC brings to our region.”
