NPRC Participates in Crawford Gives

Crawford Gives NPRC

Crawford Gives 2021 will be held on August 30th and 31st, 2021, and NPRC will be participating for its second year. On this day, the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation will host a two-day event to provide our generous community the opportunity to support their favorite local non-profits. Whether online by credit card or by mail, anyone can give during Crawford Gives.

Why Support NPRC?

Affordable education is extremely important to those NPRC serves. Whether it’s manufacturing and technical training or associate degrees like early childhood education or criminal justice, students who may be just graduating from high school, returning to the workforce, laid off from a previous job, or seeking to advance in their current position, are looking for just that – affordable, accessible, and achievable education.

Our model delivers flexible, career-focused curricula and high-quality class instruction at multiple sites throughout our nine counties using live, interactive technology and creating meaningful face-to-face classroom experiences. This approach connects students at multiple sites into one class section taught by one of NPRC’s faculty members. The global Coronavirus pandemic caused NPRC to pivot from this model and offer completely remote coursework. Due to the existing infrastructure of course delivery, adapting to this new method of offering classes was performed with limited disruption in operations. After nearly 18 months, in-person courses will pick back up in Fall 2021, with classes being available for Crawford County residents at the Crawford County Career and Technical Center and Pitt-Titusville.

Although our mission focuses on keeping courses affordable, many students may still be met with financial barriers when it comes to post-secondary education. Any funds raised through participation in Crawford Gives will be used to assist our students in overcoming these barriers and providing them with additional opportunities. These opportunities may be through full or partial scholarships, technology purchases like laptop and hotspot rentals for increased accessibility, and expansion of our locations and lab spaces.

Please consider supporting Northern Pennsylvania Regional College during this event!
