Northern Pennsylvania Regional College’s footprint covers nine counties and is geographically larger than Connecticut; in fact, NPRC’s mission is comparable to having one two-year college serving the entire state of Connecticut. When looking at the demography of the nine counties, we serve over half a million people, and 47-49% of them are in Erie County. It is an urban center and the most densely populated county in our region.
What NPRC offers Erie County is access to the most popular and necessary types of two-year associate degrees that community members are searching for. Since our foundation, it has always been our intention to have a presence in Erie the enabled Erieites, whether located in the rural parts of Union City and Girard or right in the heart of downtown Erie. It is our mission to always provide access to high quality, affordable education.
We have instructional classroom sites across our area that are within 15 miles of almost every resident, so students can always access a class very easily. We even ensure our classrooms are on a bus route.
“What we offer is intentionally different than traditional colleges and universities based on the population we were established to serve,” says Founding President Dr. Joseph T. Nairn. “We are saving students money by not adding amenities that they may not want, may not need, and may not be able to avail themselves to.”
NPRC puts the students and their communities first. Registration for summer and fall courses is now open. Talk to a student success specialist or apply today.
