NPRC Board of Trustees Launch Search for Next President

NPRC President Search for the College

Northern Pennsylvania Regional College (NPRC) Board of Trustees have launched a regional search for the next college president. This, after Founding President Joseph T. Nairn, D. Mgt, announced his retirement last month. President Nairn will remain in the role until April 2021. Trustees have announced their intentions to choose a candidate this winter and have them in place by the spring of 2021 to ensure a seamless transition.

Northern Pennsylvania Regional College is a publicly supported, not-for-profit regional college. To keep classes affordable and convenient for students, community locations are utilized to deliver class instruction with technology that enables face-to-face learning. NPRC offers dual enrollment opportunities, associate degree programs, and workforce development courses.

An NPRC Board search committee is conducting the search and interview process. “The search committee has worked diligently to develop a Presidential Profile which clearly outlines the qualifications and characteristics we are searching for in the next leader,” says Kate Brock, chairwoman, Northern Pennsylvania Regional College. Brock adds, “The profile was developed with input from faculty, staff, and board members through facilitated information gathering sessions. The successful candidate will be passionate about and committed to advancing the communities served by the College. It is essential that the next president be gifted in the areas of innovation and adaptation – a visionary who can build a team of people who will think creatively and strategically about the future of Northern Pennsylvania Regional College. The Board of Trustees is particularly focused on finding a candidate who will become the face of the College and work to set bold goals for growth and enrollment and enhance communication with all stakeholders. The successful candidate will embrace the opportunity to inspire the nine counties’ residents to welcome the College into their lives.”

Qualified candidates interested in applying should view the Presidential Profile and follow the directions for submission.
