Northern Pennsylvania Regional College Holds Inaugural Advisory Committee Meeting

Northern Pennsylvania Regional College (NPRC) held its first Erie County Advisory Committee meeting on December 3, 2019, at the Manufacturer and Business Association, 2171 West 38th Street, Erie, PA. “The role of the committee is to provide important connections to community stakeholder groups that can help inform NPRC decision-making, and to make recommendations to the NPRC Board of Trustees regarding curriculum, faculty, student support, facilities, and equipment to best meet the needs of Erie County,” says Founding President, Joseph T. Nairn, D.Mgt.  “Serving the needs of Erie County is extremely important to NPRC, and we will continue to do everything we can to help students achieve their lifelong learning goals and also provide the business sector with the workforce development training that is so desperately needed for current and potential employees.”

The Erie County Advisory Committee is comprised of 16 Erie County residents who have volunteered their time and expertise to provide input into the College’s future in the county.  “We are very thankful to the community volunteers who are so graciously giving of their time and expertise to help NPRC fulfill its mission of providing affordable postsecondary education and training to the residents of the nine counties we serve,” says Kate Brock, chairperson, NPRC Board of Trustees.  Northern Pennsylvania Regional College is committed to serving the residents of Cameron, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, McKean, Potter, Venango, and Warren Counties.

The next scheduled meeting of the Erie Advisory Committee will be in early 2020.
