Northern Pennsylvania Regional College’s Community Engagement team has explored much of our nine-county territory this summer. From attending festivals to working with regional school districts, the team is doing their part to bring awareness of who NPRC is and what the college can offer members of our communities.
To expand the reach of the college and meet students where they are, the team has launched community office hours for the Fall 2022 term in various locations throughout the counties we serve. Assistant Director of Community Engagement, Lauren Zickefoose shared what the team hopes these community office hours will help accomplish.
“Many of NPRC’s enrollees are first generation college students and the thought of going to college can be intimidating. These office hours have been designed to provide prospective students with the opportunity to speak with a Community Engagement Specialist one–on–one in an informal environment where they feel comfortable asking questions about college. Our hope is that prospective students will be able to learn about the programs and services NPRC offers and be ready to take the next step to becoming an NPRC student.”
Our Community Engagement Specialists will be offering the following community office hours through December 2022.
