NPRC Extends Offerings to Tioga County

Tioga County, PA

Northern Pennsylvania Regional College (NPRC) is excited to announce they will extend their educational offerings to Tioga County starting Spring 2023, hoping to add the County to their footprint soon. Classrooms in Tioga County will include Northern Tioga School District (110 Ellison Road, Elkland, PA) and Southern Tioga School District (310 Morris Street, Blossburg, PA).

Northern Pennsylvania Regional College is a two-year, open enrollment institution that offers five associate degrees, early entry (dual enrollment), certificate programs, and Workforce Development training courses to previously under-served communities in a nine-county region in western Pennsylvania (Cameron, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, McKean, Potter, Venango, and Warren). NPRC brings students together from across the region through distance learning capabilities to create an in-person (synchronized) classroom experience during designated class times at over 20 instructional locations.

Students can enroll at NPRC in just three steps – Create a free account on their website, complete the application, and submit high school and/or previous college transcripts.

NPRC’s Spring 2023 term is set to begin on Wednesday, January 18, with the registration deadline being Friday, January 13. Tuition for Tioga County residents is $200 per credit hour, with institutional aid available for eligible students. Additionally, students who successfully complete a degree in business administration, criminal justice, liberal studies, or social sciences at NPRC may be eligible for complete degree transfer and scholarships for Commonwealth University’s respective four-year degree programs.

Informational tool kits for interested students may be picked up from the Wellsboro CareerLink®, Wellsboro Chamber of Commerce, and Bradford County Action, Inc. Local high school students may also contact their guidance counselor for more information on early entry (dual enrollment) classes with NPRC.
