NPRC and State Guidelines

The Northern Pennsylvania Regional College is closely monitoring information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Pennsylvania Department of Health,  and the World Health Organization among others.

If you have traveled recently or have been in close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 and are experiencing COVID-related symptoms, seek medical attention immediately. Before you visit a doctor’s office or emergency room, call ahead, and let them know of your recent travel and symptoms. Wear a mask if you need to leave your home.

The value of wearing a face covering:

The Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College asks members of the public and our community to wear cloth or fabric masks.  We encourage the practice of saving surgical masks for our health care workers and first responders.

Precautions at Sites

NPRC locations, which include administrative offices and site facilities will routinely disinfect – with industrial, hospital-grade disinfectants – all high-touch areas in classrooms/labs and common spaces including doorknobs, touch plates, light switches, and computer keyboards and mice.

Hand sanitizer dispensers are installed in high-traffic areas at several of our sites. Additional hand sanitizer locations will be made available in lobbies and areas where dispensers are not accessible. Face coverings and sanitizing material is provided by the College if needed.
